Prof. Jonathan

Professor Jonathan is a mechanical engineer and the first engineer to be awarded the Research Professorship of State of Engineering University.

She leads a team of PhD students, research associates and surgical registrars in a Biomechanics Research Group based in Colombia. Her vision is to improve surgical treatment of osteoarthritis through research. She is passionate about taking research out of the laboratory to create societal benefit – this is why she is the Champion for med-tech in the Faculty of Engineering. She also co-chairs the Department of Mechanical Engineering’s Equality Diversity Inclusion committee.
